OIL CLEANSING
Oil cleansing is a time-tested skincare ritual that's gaining popularity for its ability to deeply cleanse.
Step 1: Start with Clean, Dry Hands and Face
Before you begin your oil cleanse, ensure your hands and face are both clean and dry. Clean hands prevent transferring any unwanted dirt or bacteria to your face, and a dry face allows the oil to work its magic without interference.
Step 2:shake your oil cleanser bottle and apply a Generous Amount of your Oil Cleanser to your hands
Dispense a generous amount onto your dry hands. A few pumps will do the trick. The texture of this cleanser is silky smooth, making it easy to work with.
Step 3: Massage for 60 Seconds (Or Up to 30 Minutes)
Massage the SISU Oil Cleanser onto your dry face for at least 60 seconds. This step is essential as it helps break down makeup, sunscreen, and other impurities on your skin's surface. The massaging motion also promotes better circulation and relaxation. It's safe for yours on your eyes to remove eye makeup.
For those who desire an even deeper cleanse, you can indulge in a longer oil cleansing massage, going up to 30 minutes. This extended session can help remove stubborn oil plugs and deeply cleanse your pores.
Step 4: Emulsify with Water
The magic of oil cleansing happens when you introduce warm water. Emulsify the Oil Cleanser on your face by gently wetting your fingertips and continuing to massage. This action transforms the oil into a milky cleanser, effectively lifting away impurities and leaving your skin feeling refreshed.
Step 5: Remove with a Microfiber Cloth (or just water)
To complete the oil cleansing process, use a soft microfiber cloth to gently wipe away the emulsified oil and impurities from your face. Microfiber is gentle on the skin and will remove any long wearing eye makeup and waterproof mascara and helps ensure all the cleanser is removed, leaving your skin perfectly clean.
Step 6: Follow with your SISU cleanser or repeat again with your oil cleanser or a cleanser of your choice.
Oil cleansing is a powerful first step, but for a thorough cleanse, it's important to follow up with your regular cleanser. This will remove any remaining residue and prepare your skin for the next steps in your skincare routine.
Use as a second cleanse after your oil cleanser. Yes, don't worry, it absolutely can be used on its own too. Apply one pump to damp skin and massage for 60 seconds, cleanse with intention and enjoy the process. Remove with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel.
Next, apply your Botox complete peptide serum all over your forehead to damp skin. Use morning and night.
Then apply your Soothing Serum all over your face and neck. Both both products use half a dropper and add more as needed.
I personally don't use a moisturizer and go in the morning with a good sunscreen and oil at night.
FACE OIL
Apply one pump to clean skin or after your serums and moisturizer, Our face oils are nourishing enough to use alone but you MUST use on thoroughly cleansed skin as even the best oil can trap bacteria if your skin isn't clean. Less is more, apply one pump and press into your face and add more if desired. Let it absorb before you go to bed.
Face oils are best used at night however if you use during the day you MUST use a sunscreen after to avoid sunburn.
REMEMBER skincare requires consistency. I've been doing the above routine daily and my age spot is fading, I have no visible wrinkles, my scars are repairing and my skin tone is less red. However, even the best skin care can't overcome the following:
Wash your pillow cases weekly- even better twice a week.
Wipe your phone daily with alcohol.
Wash your makeup brushes weekly! They can contain more bacteria than a toilet seat. I personally use a clean brush every time or use paper towels and isocol.
Check your makeup and sunscreen ingredients- avoid isopropyl myristate, ethehexyl palmitate, talc, homosolate, mineral oil and avobenzone. We have a blog if you need more information.
Check your other ingredients- avoid the above and other ingredients like Shea butter, coco butter, algae (also known as caragreen) soy bean oil at the top of your ingredients.
